McCANN, MARY DORIS - Mary Doris McCann became a Christmas Angel at St. Joseph's Hospital on Christmas evening. Wife of the late Francis Patrick McCann she was born in Rusagornish, NB, a daughter of the late Angelo and Annie (McSheffrey) Astorino. Mary was a resident of Quispamsis for the last 33 years. She was a member of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church. Mary was a well-known Saint John Restaurateur with her husband of 52 years. A loving mother and grandmother to two daughters; Elizabeth Louise ( Ivan) Hachey of Rothesay and Sandra Marie McCann of Quispamsis, five grandchildren Christopher (Kim) Hachey, Paul Hachey, Brian (Sandra) Hachey, Angela and Randy Sinclair, seven great grandchildren, four sisters; Helen (George) Kelly, Bessie (Allan) Duplisea, Audrey (Jack) McDonald and Barbara Crocker and one brother; Gerald (Pauline) Astorino. Predeceased by her husband Francis also three brothers; Robert, Francis and Angelo. The family wishes to thank the wonderful caring staff of the 5th floor at St. Joseph's Hospital. Visitation at CASTLE "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Old Hampton Rd. Rothesay Monday 7-9 pm and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church 171 Pettingill Rd., Quispamsis. Interment will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery. Following the Funeral a reception will be held in the Church Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
