Childs, Edward 1
Notes
Note
Edward Childs was employed for many years by the eccentric Abner Hersey who, in one of his early wills, named Edward to recieve 100 Ls. The doctor asked Edward how he intended to use the bequest; Edward's response "fit out my duaghters and marry them off," displeased the doctor who could not tolerate even neatness in dress; indignant, he altered his will, and Edward lost the money.
