Note

Sallie was the youngest daughter of Daniel Dunham Crocker and his second wife, Hannah Foxcroft (Chamberlain) Crocker. Her father died when she was three years old. Sallie attended Foxcroft Academy and became a portrait artist. She lived in Lakewood, New Jersey most of her adult life, and had her own portrait studio. In old age, Sallie and her sister Clementina Hobart returned to live where they started out, in Pembroke.
Sallie was named after her father's first wife, Sally Stark.
