Memo: From Leonard volume 2: "Hinckley family historian, Fredrick L Millner, questions the identity of Mary; Was she the daughter of Bethia (Lothrop) & Dea John Hinckley? Or daughter of Sarah (Cobb) & Benjamin Hinckley? In Otis' genealogy, Mary daughter of
Bethia(Lothrop) & John Hinckley married Samuel Jenkins, NOT John Crocker. Other sources differ. At this time no hard evidence proves which Mary married Ens Dea John Crocker. After lenghty study, Millner concludes that Dea John Crocker's 2nd wife, Mary
Hinckley, was not the daughter of Bethia (Lothrop) and Dea John Hinckley, but who her parents were, or whether she was the widow of a Hinckley, is still uncertain. After review, I agree. [Millner lists 39 Marys in the first six Hinckley generations.]
