LINCOLN - Lillian E. Crocker, 95, wife of the late Vernon Crocker, passed away May 11, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born April 6, 1913, in Lincoln Center, the daughter of George and Alice (Scott) Tait. In her younger days, she enjoyed walking, and spent many hours walking with her friend and neighbor, Lila. She attended Lincoln Center Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, playing Bingo and loved the activities at Colonial Healthcare. She is survived by five children, Dale of Bangor, Searle of Lee, Brenda Lewis of Orono, Mildred Downs of Mattawamkeag and Rodney Crocker of Denver; 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Verdell and Hersey; a daughter, Permelia Tracy; three sisters, Barbara Blake, Emma Bishop and Pearl Merrill; and two brothers, George Tait and Walter Tait. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor William Bewell officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee.
