GENEVIEVE B. ROSE
1935-2006
LEWISTON - Genevieve B. Rose, 71, of 119 Winter St., Lewiston, formerly of 75 Wellman St., dies Wednesday, Nov. 15, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Auburn on July 13, 1935, a daughter of the late Clarence and Carrie (Tribou) Brown. On March 9, 1957, she married Elmer Rose, who died in 2001. She was a very active member of Calvary United Methodist Chruch, where she and her husband were the custodians for more than 30 years. She also volunteered her time to drive people to their doctor appointments. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, and going camping and fishing with her husband.
She leaves two sisters-in-law, Cecile Brown of Orono and Grace Harvey of Lewiston; two brothers-in-law, Irving Grant, and his wife, Charlotte, of Lewiston and Donald Keough of Auburn; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Howard and Donald Brown; and a sister, Betty Grant.
