        BANGOR and WINDHAM – Amy E. Amero, 91, died Feb. 5, 2012, at a Windham health care facility. She was born Aug. 2, 1920, in Vanceboro, daughter of Everett C. and Jennie E. (McLaughlin) Crocker.

        Amy was employed at Eastern Maine Medical Center for 26 years and enjoyed many friendships throughout the years with her co-workers. She loved to travel having visited 30 of the 50 states, including her favorite, Hawaii, more than once, as well as a visit to five of the Canadian Provinces. Amy loved spending time with her family and taking care of her handicapped daughter, up until four years ago. She liked to work outside and shoveling snow was her favorite activity.

        She was predeceased by her parents, seven siblings; son, Brian Amero; son-in-law, Archie McLaughlin; and grandson, Dean McLaughlin. Surviving are three daughters, Eileen McLaughlin of Lawrence Station, New Brunswick, Dorothy Cummings and her husband, Silas, and Teresa Amero, all of Scarborough; two granddaughters, four grandsons, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

        Relatives and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10.
