LEE AND LINCOLN - Mildred A. Crocker, 101, wife of the late Harold Crocker, passed away Sept. 14, 2014 at a Lincoln hospital. She was born in Springfield, July 4, 1913, the daughter of Charles Emery and Eva (Downs) Drake.
Mildred was a longtime member of the Grange. She did a lot of tatting and even taught tatting. She enjoyed camping and fishing, and spent many winters in Zephyrhills, Florida. She enjoyed her trips to Alaska, Arizona, Idaho and Spain.
She is survived by three children, Claire Jipson of Lee , Louise Campbell of Howland and Robert Crocker and his wife, Emily of Lee; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee, with the Rev. Mitch Bickford officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to either the Springfield Congregational Church or the Lee Baptist Church.
