JESSE CLEVELAND KETTELLS, who resided at 24 Fulton avenue, Walkersville, died there suddenly Monday morning after suffering a heart attack, aged 75 years. He was a son of the late Walter M. and Julia A. Secor Kettells of NY state.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eunice L. Kettells, formerly of Boston; and these children: Mrs. Eloise J. Gross, East Orange, NJ; Durward W. Kettells, Walkersville; Mrs. Norma G. Petersen, New Brunswick, NJ; and Robert G. Kettells, East Orange, NJ;a sister, Mrs. Bessie Iseminger, Des Moines, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and had taught for many years the T.E.L. Bible Class. He was very active in the Masonic and Eastern Star ofers and was a member of Lynch Lodge 163, A.F. and A. Masons, past venerable master of Frederick Lodge of Perfection, 32nd degree member of Chesapeake Consistory, Enoch Chapter, 23, Royal Arch Masons, Enoch Council, 10, Royal and Select Masters, Jacques DeMolay Commandery, 4, Knights of Templar, Ali Ghan Temple Mystic Shrine, Cumberland, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Frederick Forest 132, and past patron of Loyalty Chapter, 52, O.E.S. and a member of Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church; masonic services were conducted in Mount Olivet cemetery where interment took place; Robert E. Dailey and Son were the funeral directors.
