Arnold Gillies

GILLIES, ARNOLD WAYNE - At his home on Monday, April 23, 2012, Arnold “Arnie” Wayne Gillies passed away peacefully with his loving wife Gwen “Huggie Bannister” Gillies and his family at his side. Born in 1943 in McAdam, NB., he was the son of the late Walter “Sparky” and Velma (Crocker) Gillies. Arnie was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by his son William “Billy” (Laura Basque); daughter Carrie (Richard) Daley; brother David Gillies; three grandchildren Kelsey, Abigail, and Alyssa; six step- grandchildren Leslie, Ricky, Carlie, James, Kiesha and Colin and his special niece Jennie. In addition to his parents, Arnie was also predeceased by his sons Arnold Jr. and David and his brother Randall.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB, (646-2424) with visitation Thursday, April 26th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 27th from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am followed immediately by a reception at the funeral home.
