FARMINGDALE – William Crowley, born on July 26, 1944, passed away on Dec. 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of service, curiosity, and fellowship.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Diana Crowley, and a proud father to his daughter, Cheryl Skaggs, and son-in-law, Charles Skaggs. William was a cherished grandfather to Jessica Rocha and Tanya Padilla, and a loving great-grandfather to Nadia Taha, Zakaria Taha, and Karlee Padilla.
William honorably served his country in the United States Navy, stationed in San Diego, Calif., and proudly served during the Vietnam War. His time in the Navy reflected his strong sense of duty and commitment, values he carried throughout his life.
An avid ham radio enthusiast, William found joy in connecting with others across the airwaves, always eager to learn and share. He also loved the open road, enjoying motorcycle rides and the camaraderie that came with them. Some of his fondest memories were made camping with the Seven Gulpers, a group that embodied the friendship and adventure he treasured.
William will be remembered for his steadfast love for family, his service to his country, and the many friendships he nurtured along the way. His warmth, stories, and passions will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
