Donald A. Morin
AUBURN – Donald A. Morin, 88, of Auburn passed away on Feb. 4, 2023, at the Androscoggin Hospice House with his family by his side. Born in Lewiston, the son of Rene and Ella (Fontaine) Morin on Sept. 24, 1934.
He attended St. Dom’s High School before serving his country in the United States Navy from 1950 – 1955. After his military service he worked at Phillips Elmet for 37 years until his retirement from full time work. He later worked another 16 years at Olfene’s, Cottles and Hannaford Food Chains. On March 31, 1979, Donald married the former Jacqueline Parlin. Donald is survived by his wife Jackie; a son Richard and Janice Morin; two daughters Diane and Jeffrey Cooper, Lisa and David Gastonguay; step daughter Cynthia and Ralph Yanez; two stepgrandchildern, seven grandchildren, and many great grandchildren; a brother Maurice and Collette Morin; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers Laurence and James Morin and a sister Claudette Deveaudreil. The family would like to offer a special thank you to all the nurses and staff at St. Marys ICU and the Androscoggin Hospice House.
A committal service will be held on Monday February 13, at 11 a.m., at St. Peters Cemetery on Deer Road in Lewiston.
