Wayne E. Berg of Quincy, an avid motorcyclist died on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Boston Medical Center following and accident on Rt. 128 in Milton. He was 41.
Wayne was born in Quincy and was a member of the Class of 1983 at Quincy Vo-Tech High School. Following high school he moved to Arizona where he lived for twenty years before returning to Quincy.
He learned auto painting at Vo-Tech and was known as one of the best in his field. While working in Arizona he painted the Hummer of NFL Superstar Donovan McNabb. At the time of his death, he was working with Quirk Auto Body in Quincy.
Wayne loved riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed a long ride on his way home from work and riding with his friends.
He was the loving father of Boston James Berg and Marley Rae Berg, both of AZ and Brandon Alan Berg of Quincy. The loving son of Wanda L. (Jordan) Berg and the late Walter L. Berg, the fun brother of Stacy L. Preskenis of Brockton, Donna M. Strangis of Whitman, James E. Berg of Quincy and Sharon L. Berg of Quincy and the loving boyfriend of Christina Cummiskey of Quincy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held in the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. (off Hancock St.) Quincy Center on Friday morning at 10:00. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
