Note

He was a blacksmith and in all deeds called a "gentleman". He was also a man of large influence and a benefactor to the church, donating to it a site for its location in 1724 on Abel's Hill. His will 1-31-1740 was proved 1-29-1743. It is noted that both husband and wife made their wills on the same day and d. within eight days of each other, both being over 70 yrs. of age.
