Notes

Note

Charles Crosby, one of a family famous for their boats, built, among others, the "Sea Hound", the "Sea Wolf" and, together with his brother, Daniel, the "Cleopatra". He practiced his trade in Osterville for 57 years. Around the turn of the century, Edith M (Robbins) Crosby, affectionately known as "Edie Bob", ran a dry goods store at Mulberry Corners in the center of the village. Later, with her granddaughter, Ruth Horne, she operated an ice cream parlor called "The Horn of Plenty."
