Leonard volume 2 says he died in "Pleasant Home, Oregon". There is no Pleasant Home. There is Sweet Home (Linn county), Pleasant Valley (Baker county), and Pleasant Hill (Lane county). There's also a Pleasant Home neighborhood in Gresham (Multnomah county), and he's buried in Troutdale, just a few miles from Gresham.
