LINCOLN - Hilda L. Stockley, 91, died unexpectedly Nov. 10, 2013, at her home. She was born June 18, 1922, in Lee, the daughter of Harry and Doris (Hanscom) Crocker.
Hilda was very proud of being a 1939 graduate of Lee Academy. She loved gardening, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was very independent and loved to travel. She also did respite care for foster children for many years.
She is survived by two children, Alan Stockley and Bernice of Chester, and Connie Rand and Lee of Lincoln; a sister, Anna Hanscom of Newport; four grandchildren, Amanda Marquis and Robert of Norfolk, Va., and Leela, Usha and Esmae Stockley of Chester; two special sisters-in-law, Helen Crocker of Lincoln, and Kay Crocker of Lee; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves a special friend, Pam Ridley and her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Rollins; a daughter, Judith Ann Rollins; her second husband, Eldon Stockley; and ten siblings, Clair Crocker, Bertran Crocker, Agnes McGibbon, Ruth Clay, Argie Brackett, Jean Boyington, Frederick Crocker, Erland Crocker, Arthur Crocker, and Pauline Crocker.
