He was a soldier in the French and Indian war. enlisted in Maj. Stephen Miller's co.. Col. Miller's regt.. May 3, 1757 in Capt. Aaron Willard's co.. Col. Oliver Partridge's regt., for the reduction of Canada, June 25 to Nov. 13, 1758; allowed 14 days' travel; name on muster roll dated Boston, Feb. 10, 1759; in Capt. Daniel Billings' CO., Col. Ruggles' regt. raised by Massachusetts Bay Colony, April 5 to July 24, 1758. Also in Capt. Timothy Hammant's co. March 22 to Nov. 16, 1762. On roll sworn to at Wrentham Feb. 3, 1759, as John Goldsbury's account for victualing soldiers on their return home in 1758, he was reported as having had two meals.
